"With Jules, I have had the privilege of exploring, strengthening and expanding my vocal capabilities and deepening the technical aspects of everything voice related. We have worked on a myriad of things over the years. I used to pull off notes in my higher register and created an unnecessary vibrato to cover it up. We changed that to a steady sound and made the vibrato a choice that I may apply or detract when I choose. There was an unreasonable fear of high notes; we changed that into a strength where I am now singing high tenor parts. We have created a mixed register, which I have been using in almost every way, even offstage. We have worked on speech as well, finding my Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. voice [for a show]. This is just a small summary of what we have done and an equally small part for why I, as a professional singer, chose and continue to choose to trust her as my voice coach, singing teacher and vocal pedagogue.
