What's the 411?

The Free Discovery Call (Ooooh, sounds like we're going on an adventure!) is our first opportunity to meet each other! In this free 20 minute Zoom Call, you can ask questions, voice your concerns, goals and aspirations. Jules will explain a little bit about the magic that is High C's Voice Studio and we then decide if booking an "Initial Fit" is a good next step!!!

Included in all plans at High C's, we will have what is referred to as "asynchronous interactions"- (I call them AI's- not to be confused with artificial intelligence lol) meaning, we will have vocal coachings outside of our 1:1 lessons via video text message. You will send videos of your practice and I will send back response videos for workshopping your material and technique. This allows the student the opportunity to take instruction and apply it "without training wheels", so to speak. It encourages self-reflection, learner autonomy and critical thinking that has proven to be incredibly effective!!! Which is why we now include it in all plans at High C's. It's not JUST the work in the studio, but outside the studio that truly makes the difference.

I prefer to use zoom, but am happy to try alternative video chat platforms should need be. With zoom we can record our sessions and you can reflect on our lessons afterwards, which is a great tool for growth. Of course, if you are in person, you are always welcome to record our lessons as well.

Nope! We believe professionalism is a mindset and we've worked with students as young as 12 who have the same passion and commitment as our adult clients! If you believe your commitment to your craft is exceptional, have your parents book a free discovery call and let's get to know each other! If it feels like a good fit, we will find a plan that will work for us both. If it's not a great fit, that's ok! I am happy to refer you to one of my beautiful, talented colleagues that I believe may align with your needs more wholly.

Yes. I believe in cross-training in the voice studio. So most of my clients will be encouraged to learn classical repertoire, even if that is not their bag. That being said, if you are an opera singer or hope to become one, there are other teachers out there far more suited to teach you than I. I love classical music, and was a classically trained vocalist first, but my forte as a teacher is in contemporaneous vocal pedagogy. That being said, I will gladly work classical rep with my clients. I speak Italian and I love coaching Italian rep, especially.

Since 2020, I have been having virtual showcases for my clientele as an additional opportunity for them to perform. These showcases are themed and professionally edited to be shared with friends, family and more. Participants will receive the edited footage of their performances for their own personal and professional use. These showcases can be great professional exposure on socials.
